My youngest sister, Kristine "Krissy" Aasland Floyd had her first baby on April 1st. Her name is Karly Jeanette Floyd. She has the same middle name as my mother and I. She weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20" long. I need to see the brother-in-law's baby pictures but I do think that Karly looks like an Aasland. I was annoyed with my sister during her pregnancy since she did not want to know the sex of the baby. I would go shopping for the baby and had a hard time finding what to buy based on neutral colors. I did send her 2 baby blankets, one being pink, that I got from each of my grandmothers for my daughters. The pink quilt was originally started by our maternal grandmother for Krissy when she was born, but was not finished. My mom finished it when my daughter Kendra was born in 1999. (Krissy was born in 1972).
I cannot wait to see this beautiful girl up close! I wish I lived closer so I can see her sooner rather than later.
